Our client is seeking an experienced professional to support financial crime investigation and reporting activities within a fast-paced financial services environment.
The role will involve reviewing and investigating potentially suspicious activity, analysing transactions and customer behaviour, and preparing clear and well-supported regulatory reporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and investigate escalated financial crime matters and unusual transaction activity.
• Analyse customer behaviour, transaction patterns and investigative leads.
• Assess matters to determine whether suspicious activity exists.
• Prepare Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) and supporting Grounds for Suspicion documentation.
• Document clear rationale and supporting evidence for investigation outcomes.
• Escalate high-priority matters and emerging risks where required.
• Maintain accurate investigation records and complete associated administration.
• Ensure investigations are completed in line with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and service standards.
• Support broader AML/CTF and financial crime investigation activities.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Skills & Experience
• 5 years plus experience in financial crime, AML/CTF, investigations, compliance or a related bachelor degree.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Valuable written communication and attention to detail.
• Understanding of financial crime and regulatory reporting requirements would be highly regarded.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work within established deadlines.
