Overview

AWS is seeking Associate Systems Engineers – Windows to support secure cloud infrastructure environments within the AWS Region Services team. This role is responsible for supporting Windows infrastructure, automation, operational systems and large-scale cloud environments across highly secure AWS environments supporting sensitive workloads. The role requires solid technical problem-solving skills, collaboration and the ability to operate within fast-paced operational and engineering environments.

The role

As an Associate Systems Engineer – Windows within AWS Region Services, you will support the operation,



maintenance and automation of Windows infrastructure environments across AWS cloud services.

- Supporting Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory environments
- Performing system maintenance, updates and patch management activities
- Supporting infrastructure automation and operational tooling initiatives

Skills and experience

- Experience in systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration or network administration
- Experience scripting in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby or similar languages
- Understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience supporting Windows infrastructure and Active Directory environments
- Experience with automation and tooling for large-scale environments highly regarded
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet or Chef desirable
- Experience in networking and systems troubleshooting desirable

Requirements

- Australian Citizenship required
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance
- Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment
- Ability to participate in on-call and out-of-hours operational support as required
- Ability to work within highly secure operational environments
