About the role

n

We have an opportunity for a lawyer (1-2 year PQE) or associate(2-4 year PQE) to join our Health team on a fulltime basis.

n

Your main responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Defending claims for negligence against doctors, nurses,hospitals, and health services; and
n
- Gathering medical evidence, investigating liability, andassessing quantum of the claim; and
n
- Opportunities to assist in coronialinquests/investigations.

About you

n

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

n

n
- A Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current New SouthWales practising certificate
n




- Experience in defendant medical negligence litigation andcoronial inquests
n
- Experience managing litigated matters across a variety ofjurisdictions
n
- Client-facing experience, with the ability to understandand manage client needs
n
- A commercial approach, with the ability to articulateadvice clearly and negotiate effectively
n
- Excellent technical skills, with the ability to manage abusy workload
n
