We are seeking an experienced National Veteran Community & Partnerships Manager to strengthen KSC Law’s relationships across Australia’s veteran and Defence communities.
This newly created role combines strategic partnerships, community engagement, stakeholder management, events and business development. You will represent KSC Law within the community while identifying and developing opportunities at both a national and regional level.
This is not simply a marketing or events position. We need someone who can build trusted relationships, recognise opportunities and turn strong ideas into well-managed partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and lead KSC Law’s national community engagement and partnerships strategy
- Build relationships across veteran, Defence, community, corporate, government and industry networks
- Identify and develop national and regional partnership opportunities
- Strengthen KSC Law’s presence in key Defence and veteran communities
- Prepare high-quality partnership proposals, sponsorship submissions, capability statements, tenders and expressions of interest
- Represent KSC Law at community events, conferences and stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate community engagement initiatives and networking opportunities
- Manage partnerships from initial contact through negotiation, implementation and review
- Maintain a structured pipeline and report on outcomes
- Work closely with KSC Law’s leadership, legal, operations and marketing teams
About you
- You are comfortable engaging with veterans at a community event,
meeting with senior stakeholders and presenting a major partnership proposal.
- You bring robust interpersonal skills, commercial judgement and the ability to represent an organisation professionally across diverse environments.
- Proven experience in strategic partnerships, community engagement, sponsorships, stakeholder relations or business development
- Demonstrated success developing or managing significant partnerships
- Experience preparing partnership proposals, tenders, sponsorship submissions or expressions of interest
- Strong networking, relationship-management and communication skills
- Experience delivering community initiatives, events or stakeholder programs
- Confidence engaging with executives, community leaders and external organisations
- Ability to independently develop and manage a national pipeline of opportunities
- Willingness to undertake interstate and regional travel when required
Highly regarded
- Australian Defence Force service or substantial experience working with veterans and Defence families
- Existing relationships across veteran, Defence, government, health or community sectors
- Experience managing national partnerships or corporate sponsorships
- Understanding of Defence culture and the challenges experienced by veterans
- Knowledge of the DVA, CSC or broader veteran support environment
- Experience working across metropolitan and regional Australia
- ADF service is highly regarded but is not mandatory where a candidate can demonstrate genuine experience and credibility within the veteran community.
- Join a veteran-founded and veteran-focused Australian law firm
- Take ownership of a newly created national role
- Build the partnerships function from the ground up
- Work directly with KSC Law’s leadership team
- Develop relationships that create genuine value for veterans and their families
- Flexible working arrangements for the right candidate
- Competitive remuneration based on experience
