An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Operations Manager to join a well-established property group entering a significant growth phase within the residential construction sector.

n

With a solid pipeline of residential projects across metropolitan and regional locations, this is a senior delivery-focused leadership role overseeing construction performance across a mix of multi-unit residential, house & land and spec home projects.

n

Reporting into senior leadership, you will lead the construction delivery team while taking ownership of program, cost, quality, safety and operational performance.

n

The Opportunity

n

This is a senior construction operations role requiring someone who has successfully delivered residential projects at scale.

n

You will be responsible for:

n

n
- Leading Construction Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and construction support teams
n
- Driving delivery across multi-unit residential, house & land and spec home projects
n
- Managing site starts, build times, work in progress and completions across a large portfolio
n
- Managing construction budgets, cost-to-complete, variations and overall project performance
n
- Driving trade capacity, subcontractor performance and procurement
n
- Improving construction systems, workflows, buildability and operational efficiencies
n
- Maintaining strong standards across quality, safety, compliance and customer outcomes
n
- Working closely with internal development, sales, estimating, drafting and finance teams to support delivery
n
- Taking commercial ownership across spec home projects, including feasibility, budget, program and margin
n

About You

n

We are looking for a seasoned residential construction operator with experience across:

n

n
- Multi-unit residential development – townhomes, low-rise or medium-density projects
n




- Volume residential delivery – managing a significant number of homes across multiple sites
n
- Spec homes – with genuine commercial understanding across feasibility, budgets and margins
n

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- 10+ years' experience within residential construction
n
- Demonstrated experience leading construction teams through other managers
n
- Strong knowledge of volume home building and residential construction methodology
n
- Experience delivering across multiple and dispersed sites
n
- Strong commercial acumen across construction budgets, feasibility and margin
n
- Excellent subcontractor, supplier and stakeholder management skills
n
- A track record of improving build times, systems, workflows and construction efficiency
n
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to coach, develop and hold teams accountable
n
