About the Role

n

Reporting to the Technical Manager – Salmonids and working closely with the Product Manager – LifeStart & Prawn, you will support salmonid customers while assisting with product lifecycle activities, R&D; delivery, and commercial initiatives.

n

You will act as an key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring customer needs, technical requirements, and product performance activities are effectively supported.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Customer Account Support

n

n
- Support customer account plans and routine customer engagements.
n
- Assist with technical sampling and data collection activities.
n
- Prepare customer reports and performance summaries.
n
- Help maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and professional support.
n
- Support delivery of contractual commitments and customer outcomes.
n

n

Product Development & R&D; Support

n

n
- Assist with the planning and execution of R&D; trials.
n
- Support implementation of new products and product improvements.
n
- Maintain product documentation and technical records.
n
- Contribute to product lifecycle management activities and innovation projects.
n

n

Data Analysis & Reporting

n

n
- Analyse fish performance, trial, and production data.
n
- Prepare accurate reports and technical summaries.
n
- Provide insights to support customer, technical, and commercial decision-making.
n
- Support internal and external stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.
n

n

Market Intelligence & Commercial Support

n

n
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity.
n
- Gather customer forecasts and market insights.
n
- Support commercial teams with relevant technical and market information.
n




- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen customer intimacy and business performance.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

n

- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safe work practices.

- Support WHS initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Nutreco and Skretting safety, quality, and environmental standards.

- Identify and escalate risks that may impact customer outcomes or business performance.

What We're Looking For

n

Essential

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Aquaculture, Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Animal Health, or a related discipline.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capability.
n
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and teams.
n

Desirable

n

n
- Exposure to or experience in finfish aquaculture.
n
- Understanding of fish nutrition, fish health, feed performance, or aquaculture production systems.
n
- Experience supporting research, trials, or technical projects.
n
- Commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs.
n

What's Involved

This Role Includes

- Office-based work and regular computer use.
n
- Travel to customer sites throughout Tasmania.
n
- Participation in customer visits, sampling activities, and field-based work.
n
- Occasional manual handling, including lifting feed bags up to 20kg and fish up to 5kg.
n
