Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Qualified Welder / Assembly Worker to join their manufacturing team in Yatala. This is a casual role offering full-time hours (8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday), with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position after 6 months. Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you'll be involved in welding, assembly, fabrication support, and general production duties.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication work
- Assembly of industrial products and equipment
- Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
- Measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and general workshop duties
- Operating hand and power tools
- Packing and preparing products for dispatch
- Assisting with sandblasting, powder coating, and paint preparation
- Maintaining a safe and organised work area
What You'll Need
- Cert II Engineering (Welding) or Cert III Engineering (Fabrication Trade/Boilermaking)
- Previous experience in welding,
manufacturing, fabrication, metal mechanics, or carpentry
- Strong MIG welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- LF Forklift Licence highly desirable
- Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Reliable work history and attention to detail
- Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Yatala
