Airport & Aircraft Cleaner – Casual Positions Available

Ready to swap the boring 9-to-5 for an exciting, rapid-paced environment where no two days are the same? Join our friendly aviation services team at Newcastle Airport and help keep our airport and aircraft sparkling.

With multiple positions open, we are looking for energetic team members who thrive on their feet and can quickly adjust to changing surroundings.

What You Will Do

- Aircraft Cleaning: Turn around planes efficiently between flights, ensuring a clean and comfortable journey for passengers.
- Airport Cleaning: Maintain terminal lounges, public areas, and facilities to the highest presentation standards.
- Dynamic Teamwork: Work closely with a supportive team to meet strict aviation schedules safely.

- Flexible Shifts: Roster shift lengths range dynamically from 3 to 8 hours to suit your lifestyle.
- Split Shifts Available: Great morning and afternoon broken shift combinations are available.

- Excellent Award Rates: Paid strictly under the Cleaning Services Award 2020 (MA ).
- Generous Penalties: Base casual rate starts at $33.85/hr (Level 1) with strong penalty multipliers for early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

- Full Training Provided: No prior aviation or commercial cleaning experience is required, but any cleaning experience will be held in high regard.

Mandatory Requirement

- Security Clearance: You must be able to pass a comprehensive aviation ID background check (ASIC) to safely access secure airport zones.
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence.

You must have valid work rights in Australia.
