We are currently recruiting an experienced HV Substation Lead to join a major rail infrastructure project in Brisbane. This is an exciting chance to play a key role in the delivery of a high-profile rail electrification program that forms part of Queensland's long-term transport infrastructure investment leading into 2032.

Prior rail or traction power experience is not essential. We welcome applications from professionals who have successfully delivered HV substations, transmission & distribution, utilities, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, industrial power or major infrastructure projects. Support will be provided to develop rail-specific knowledge where required.

Location- Brisbane, QLD

n

Duration- Permanent, Full-time

n

Salary- $210,000 - $230,000 + Super

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of HV substation and rail electrification works, ensuring compliance with project, safety, and quality requirements.
n
- Manage project programs, subcontractors, stakeholders, budgets, and performance reporting to support successful project outcomes.
n
- Oversee the delivery of HV electrical infrastructure, including substations, feeder systems and associated power networks.
n




- Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams
n

Required Experience

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering HV substation, transmission, distribution, utility or rail electrification projects.
n
- Experience managing engineering deliverables, contractors, stakeholders and project teams.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of SHEQ requirements and risk management processes.
n
- Australian working rights (Citizen, Permanent Resident or valid work visa).
n

Desirable

- Experience with traction power systems, rail electrification or transport infrastructure projects.
n
- Experience delivering brownfield or live operational infrastructure environments.
n
