About the role

n

As a Solution Architect, you'll design and shape secure, scalable, sustainable and supportable digital solutions across significant government and enterprise platforms.

n

You'll work at the intersection of business needs, user experience and technology, turning complex requirements into practical architectural solutions. From pre-sales and discovery through to implementation, delivery assurance and operational transition, you'll have influence across the full digital delivery lifecycle.

n

You'll also play an important role in shaping AI-enabled solutions, ensuring emerging technologies align with appropriate architecture, security and governance requirements.

n

A strong practical background in Drupal architecture and delivery is essential.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Lead solution architecture for complex government and enterprise digital projects, platforms and programs
n
- Define end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, data, cloud, DevOps, security and operations, with a core focus on Drupal
n
- Lead discovery workshops, technical discussions, solution design and pre-sales activities
n
- Translate complex business, user and technical requirements into clear architectural solutions
n
- Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary delivery teams
n
- Guide Technical Leads,



Developers and specialists while maintaining accountability for the overall solution architecture
n
- Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, trade-offs and architectural decisions
n
- Ensure security, privacy, resilience, accessibility and compliance requirements are embedded into solutions
n
- Work closely with clients, executives, technical teams and delivery stakeholders
n
- Assess emerging technologies and identify practical opportunities across cloud, AI, open source and digital platforms
n
- Support delivery assurance, operational readiness and transition into support
n

What you'll bring

n

Essential:

n

n
- Australian citizenship and current residence in Australia
n
- Baseline security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
n
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect or equivalent senior technical role
n
- Strong experience designing and delivering complex digital, software or technology solutions
n
- Strong practical Drupal architecture and delivery experience
n
- Experience across Drupal architecture, configuration, content modelling, module selection, integrations and deployment
n
- Experience across the full lifecycle — pre-sales, discovery, solution shaping, implementation, assurance and operational transition
n
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, integration patterns and modern digital technologies
n
- Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient and maintainable solutions
n
- Strong API, integration, data flow and distributed systems experience
n




- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Ability to influence and lead without direct line-management authority
n
- Strong problem-solving, systems thinking and analytical capability
n
- Ability to balance technical excellence with delivery realities, commercial outcomes and client needs
n

- Australian Government or other highly regulated environments

- AWS and cloud-native architecture
