Manager, Services and Development (Employability)

HEW Level 8 salary + 17% super and staff benefits.

The Manager, Services and Development leads the delivery of specialist services and key initiatives that support the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Employability division. Working with the Deputy Director and Managers, the role ensures alignment and delivery of shared priorities across teams, provides coordinated support to the Deputy Director in progressing cross-team initiatives, and plays a critical role in continuous improvement.

The position leads a team delivering services including communications, events, data analysis, project support and policy development to support high-quality and consistent outcomes across the team.

This is a full-time, ongoing position at our Hawthorn campus.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated leadership experience, combined with the proven ability to exercise considerable expertise and initiative, and assume responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies and/or major initiatives and projects.
- Demonstrated people management experience, including the ability to lead and manage staff in a supportive and collegial manner, and foster innovation and collaboration.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the proven ability and confidence to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior managers, academic and professional staff, students, industry, and external vendors.
- Excellent organisational, time and project management skills, including the ability to assume responsibility for a team’s portfolio of priorities and meet competing deadlines.
- Prior experience managing work integrated learning and/or career services is highly regarded.
