IGS Early Learners is a purpose-built long day care centre and kindergarten service, catering for boys and girls from 6 weeks old to Pre-Prep. In our third year of operation, we are committed to best practice in Early Education, nurturing young minds and empowering them for a lifetime of learning. We understand the significance of these early years in shaping a child's future and take pride in providing an environment that supports holistic development.

Operated by Ipswich Grammar School, the Centre offers exceptional care alongside a range of specialist extra-curricular programs designed to enrich children's experiences. These include swimming lessons, cooking sessions with our chef, and cultural activities such as Indigenous art and education. Children also enjoy access to the Junior School Library and Sporting Facilities for Bush Kindy activities, creating a truly connected and enriching learning environment within the broader School community.

Following the continued growth of our Centre, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Centre Director to continue to lead our service and further strengthen the high-quality educational and care standards that define our community. The successful candidate will be supported by an established core team of Educators, whom are passionate about the early childhood industry.

This is a rare opportunity to lead a well-resourced, Independent School-operated Early Learning Centre with the support of an established and values-driven organisation. As Centre Director, you will shape the strategic direction, culture and long-term success of the service, supported by the wider Ipswich Grammar School community that values belonging, leadership and continuous growth.





The successful candidate will report directly to, and work closely with, the Head of Early Years and Care, providing both strategic and operational leadership across the Centre.

The Centre Director role is responsible for:

- Provide strong educational and operational leadership, ensuring compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements
- Lead curriculum direction in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework
- Drive continuous improvement through oversight of the Quality Improvement Plan and National Quality Standards
- Oversee enrolments, occupancy, budgets, and resource management to support sustainable growth
- Recruit, mentor and develop educators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Build authentic relationships with families and the wider School community

Qualifications and Experience:

- An ACECQA-approved Degree in Early Childhood Education or Diploma (or equivalent)




- Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
- Valid Working with Children Check and Child Protection training
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Nominated Supervisor, or 5 years in a senior leadership role within an Early Childhood Service
- Robust working knowledge of EYLF, National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standards, CCS requirements, WHS and Child Safe Standards
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, compliance, financial oversight and quality improvement
- The ability to build genuine, collaborative relationships with families, staff and stakeholders
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
