The Senior ICT Technician provides high-level, on-site ICT support to the College community, ensuring the reliable, secure and effective operation of digital technologies supporting teaching, learning, administration and student wellbeing. The role works closely with the ICT Services Manager, College Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Director of Innovation, Director of Pedagogy, CEWA Digital Technology teams and external service providers to deliver consistent, best-practice ICT services aligned with College and CEWA standards, policies and strategic priorities.
Position Description
This is a full-time, ongoing position with an immediate start or by negotiation.
Selection Criteria
- Astrong commitment to the ethos of Catholic education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Lumen Christi College community.
- Tertiary, technical or relevant industry qualifications in ICT, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Substantial experience providing advanced ICT support in a complex, multi-user environment, preferably within education.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and act as an escalation point for other ICT support staff.
- Solid knowledge and practical experience across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure and associated management tools.
- Experience using ICT service-desk systems and applying effective incident, request, asset and change-management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate technical projects, system deployments and improvement activities.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical matters clearly to staff and students.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, provide technical guidance to colleagues and relate professionally and appropriately to students, parents, staff and external service providers.
- Previous ICT experience within a school or other educational environment.
- Familiarity with CEWA systems, standards and operating requirements.
- Experience of administering and supporting Aruba network and wireless infrastructure.
