The Home Support team, part of the Community and Allied Health Services directorate, provides essential care in clients’ homes, CGH centres, and community settings. We support older people and individuals with disabilities to live independently and with dignity.
About the Role
As a Community Care Worker, you will support clients to remain living independently at home by delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Our approach is guided by the principles of reablement and the active service model, placing clients at the heart of their care journey.
We are looking for both qualified and unqualified Community Care Workers to support clients in the following localities and surrounds: Rosedale, Heyfield, Maffra and Sale areas.
We are seeking people with availability and willingness for weekend work.
Duties
All Community Carers:
- Complement the client/carer skills and abilities by assisting them with domestic assistance which includes cleaning, vacuuming,
sweeping and mopping floors; ironing and washing clothes; moving light furniture; bed making; and assistance with meal preparation.
- Maintain accurate and clear documentation related to service delivery, including progress notes
Qualified Community Carers:
- Provide personal care including assistance with showering, bathing, dressing/undressing, toileting, grooming; assisting with medications, eating and drinking;
- Provide respite care in the client’s home and in community settings
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Minimum Certificate III Individual Support – Aged Care or Disability (or equivalent) or currently studying towards it
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence

All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate, NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance and obtaining a Working with Children Check.
