Location: Parramatta, Sydney - Hybridopportunity. In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team
GovernmentShared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way instreamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people tobetter focus on their customers and delivering their services. Weare developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamlineprocesses, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to morethan 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
What you will do
The BTP Application Specialist will Develop technology solutions and map businessrequirements to systems/technical requirements, ensuring alignment with theenterprise integration architecture, while providing independent, analytical,and strategic input to the leadership team, leveraging extensive SAP experienceto advise on integration and support the roll-out of the S4/Hana centralizedsolution and migration from multiple SAP legacy and agency-specific systems.
Key responsibilities
- Review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirement specificationsto ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICTcapability.
- Define and design technology solutions within the agreed-upon enterpriseintegration architecture to assist the business in meeting its objectives.
- Develop, implement, and test the integration solutions and report on deliverycommitments to ensure they are implemented as expected and within theagreed-upon timeframes.
- Participate in development/configuration or coordinate the implementation withinternal IT Teams and selected vendors and delivering central integrationcomponents and components to be integrated into business applications.
- Lead the collaborative creation and iteration of viable specifications andacceptance criteria in preparation for implementing and testing applicationintegration across the landscape.
- Build strong and effective relationships with key business partners acrossprogram teams ensuring clear communication and positive working relationships.
- Plan, implement and test releases and changes, within a team environment, toensure solutions will meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with the various deployment and product teams to testsystemfunctionality, enhancements and other changes required for release intoproduction.
The key challenges to be successful in this role
- Operating in a complex organisation undergoing significant structural andservice delivery reform, innovative specialised strategies are needed todeliver successful and sustainable services.
- Identifying and balancing the needs of the roadmap-initiated programs programand Business-as usual operations for multiple changes and work programs withina complex business environment undergoing significant change.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of theReporting, Analytics, Technical Solutions, Integration with the Platform, anddevelopment requirements, and ensure this capability is maintained across theinternal teams and outsourced service providers.
About you
- Proven experience managing a team in a complex,integrated, multi-business unit heterogeneous environment, aligning theSAP landscape and technical solution options with functional requirements.
- Experience in managing delivery and outcomes froma service provider, focusing on transitioning into support from projects,implementing service improvement plans, ensuring quality support, andmeasuring KPIs reflected in executive dashboards.
- Proficient in Cloud Workplace, SAP BusinessTechnology Platform (BTP) services, S4/HANA, NetWeaver ABAP &JavaScript;, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, Web Services, SAP Web IDE, Eclipse withABAP Development Tools (ADT), ABAP CDS, Transport management products, SAPCloud components, SAP Mobility Platform, SAP Fiori, Integration and APIs,SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Security and Compliance (IAS & IPS), withexcellent critical thinking skills, business operations knowledge, andstrong interpersonal, influencing, negotiation, and communication skillsto lead stakeholders at all levels.
