Early Childhood Educators - Community Managed, exceeding service

Benefits include:

- Earn approximately $38.20–$42 per hour under the Professional Community Standard Agreement (depending on qualifications and experience).

- Nine-day fortnight with a rostered day off for full-time educators

- Every room is staffedabove the ratio

- Covered by the Professional Community Standard Agreement, one of Victoria's leading enterprise agreements for community-managed early childhood services.

- Five weeks' annual leave plus annual leave loading

- Three weeks' paid personal leave

About the opportunity

Due to current staffing needs, two permanent opportunities are available: one within the Nursery and one within the Toddler program.

With every room staffed above ratio, educators have the time, support and resources to build meaningful relationships with children and deliver exceptional early childhood education. The service has a long-standing leadership team and exceptional educator retention, creating the stability that is increasingly difficult to find in long-day care.

This is a service where educators are encouraged to contribute to meaningful work beyond the daily routine. Children are viewed as capable citizens with genuine rights to participate in decisions affecting them, supported through initiatives such as the Children’s Advisory Council. Reconciliation and sustainability are also embedded in practice through an active Reconciliation Action Plan, cultural consultation and practical environmental initiatives across the service.

About the role

- Build secure, meaningful relationships with children and families

- Support children's learning through intentional teaching and play

- Contribute to high-quality planning, documentation and assessment

- Work collaboratively within an experienced and supportive team

- Maintain strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and Child Safe Standards

- Participate in reflective practice and continuous improvement

Essential requirements

To be considered, you will have:

- Previous experience working within acommunity-managed not-for-profit early childhood service(strongly preferred)

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an experienced Certificate III educator who is ready to commence their Diploma

- Minimumthree years' experienceworking in a long-day care environment.

- Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standard and Child Safety Standards

- Ability to work full-time on a rotating roster

- High-quality planning and documentation skills

- A team-oriented, professional and child-focused approach

- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain), Child Safety certificates and First Aid.
