- Department for Health and Wellbeing – Clinical System Support and Improvement – Office of the Chief Pharmacist
- Salary: $137,075 to $149,922 (Pro-Rata) – AHP5 – Part Time (0.5 FTE) – Term Contract up to 12 Months

Overview:

The Director provides leadership and strategic direction in regard to the development and implementation, oversight, governance and management of a range of Statewide medicines policy and programs to ensure best possible health outcomes for all South Australians.

The Director has a key role in providing professional and clinical advice and leadership for the development, co-ordination, implementation and review of medicines and pharmacy policy frameworks, strategies and legislation to promote the equity of access and quality and safety of medicines use across the State.

The incumbent supports the Chief Pharmacist in this role and is an integral member of the Office of the Chief Pharmacist, significantly contributing to the leadership, vision and strategic direction setting for the health portfolio and contributing to the attainment of objectives for SA Health.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

- A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patent contact).

- An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia is required for this position.
