We are seeking an experienced and motivated Specification Manager to join our growing team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving product specifications and building solid relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, developers, local government authorities, water utilities, and key industry stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional with strong knowledge of stormwater management, wastewater infrastructure, and pump station systems who enjoys influencing project outcomes from the design stage through to construction.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and execute specification strategies to increase product adoption across Western Australia.
- Engage with consulting engineers, hydraulic designers, civil engineers, contractors, developers, and asset owners.
- Promote solutions for stormwater management, wastewater treatment and conveyance systems, and pump station infrastructure.
- Secure product specifications in major infrastructure, commercial, municipal, and residential developments.
- Provide technical support and presentations to consulting engineers and project stakeholders.
- Monitor project pipelines and identify opportunities at the planning and design stages.
- Work closely with the sales and project teams to convert specifications into project wins.
- Represent the company at industry events, technical seminars, and professional associations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant Australian Standards,
Water Corporation requirements, and local authority specifications.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a Specification Manager, Business Development, Technical Sales, Engineering, or related role.
- Robust technical knowledge of stormwater systems, wastewater infrastructure, pump stations and pumping systems, and civil and hydraulic engineering principles.
- Established relationships within the WA engineering and infrastructure sector.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and project management capabilities.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
Nice to have but not essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction, or a related discipline (desirable).
- Experience working with local government authorities, Water Corporation WA, consulting engineers, and civil contractors (desirable).
- Knowledge of drainage, treatment, storage, harvesting, and pumping technologies (desirable).
