- Position Type: Full time ongoing teaching position with 5 year tenured HoF
- Salary: Teaching salary based on years of experience plus Level 6 PPA as per the Queensland Anglican Schools Enterprise Agreement + 12.75% superannuation

St Andrew’s Anglican College is seeking an experienced and visionary educational leader to take on the role of Head of Digital and Design Technologies, commencing in 2027. This is a rare prospect for a passionate practitioner-leader to shape the strategic direction, curriculum quality, and performance of a broad and dynamic faculty.

About the Role:

The Faculty of Digital and Design Technologies encompasses five specialist subject areas: Digital Technology, Design Technology, Food Technology, Engineering, and Industrial Technology. The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated specialist teachers across these disciplines, while also maintaining a teaching load within the Faculty aligned to their own subject expertise.

What You’ll Do:

- Provide strategic and pedagogical leadership across the Digital and Design Technologies Faculty, spanning Digital Technology, Design Technology, Food Technology, Engineering, and Industrial Technology.
- Lead curriculum development, review, and quality assurance across all faculty subject areas, ensuring alignment with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements.
- Teach across the Faculty in line with subject specialisation and staffing needs.
- Line-manage, mentor, and performance-develop faculty teaching staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Oversee faculty budgets, resourcing, and the safe management of specialist facilities and equipment,



including workshops and technology spaces.
- Champion innovative, future-focused approaches to teaching and learning, including STEM and digital fluency initiatives.
- Contribute to whole-College strategic planning as a member of the College's leadership structure.
- Ensure faculty-wide compliance with WHS requirements relevant to practical and workshop-based learning environments.

What You Bring:

- Relevant teaching qualifications and current (or eligible) QCT registration.
- Significant classroom teaching experience in one or more of the Faculty's subject areas.
- Demonstrated success in a curriculum or middle leadership role, ideally at Head of Department level or above.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and reporting requirements across Digital Technology, Design Technology, Food Technology, Engineering, and/or Industrial Technology.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of specialist teaching staff.
- A collaborative leadership style, sound judgement, and highly effective communication skills.
