We are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to join the team! Are you a people-focused professional with a passion for community engagement and a drive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading aged care service provider as they expand their operations into Brisbane. In this frontline role, you will play a central part in growing community partnerships, acquiring new clients, and guiding prospective clients through a seamless transition into care services — all within a vibrant, supportive, and purpose-driven team culture. We are a leading aged care service provider dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through high-quality in-home aged care services. With a strong presence in Sydney and a continually growing national footprint, they are now expanding into Brisbane. Known for their creative approach, strong community partnerships, and commitment to exceptional care, they foster a culture defined by teamwork, integrity, and excellence — and they are genuinely invested in the growth and success of their people.
What you'll be doing?
- Driving community engagement — Representing the organisation at community workshops, expos, and local engagement events to build awareness, strengthen referral pathways, and convert community interest into qualified client intakes.
- Building referral partnerships — Developing and nurturing strategic relationships with community organisations, referral partners, and stakeholders across Brisbane to expand the client network.
- Managing the full client onboarding journey — Guiding community-generated leads from initial engagement through to signed service agreements, care planning discussions, and budget reviews in a professional and supportive manner.
- Assessing client needs — Conducting preliminary needs assessments and contributing to care planning conversations to ensure prospective clients are matched with the right level of support.
- Collaborating with operations teams — Working closely with internal teams to ensure a seamless and coordinated client experience from first contact through to active service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate documentation — Managing leads, onboarding records, and client information with a high level of detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Travelling across Brisbane — Attending community events and stakeholder meetings throughout Brisbane and surrounding areas to maintain an active and visible community presence.
Who are we looking for?
- Relevant qualifications — A Certificate IV in Aged Care, Community Services, Care Management, Social Work, or Nursing is required; qualifications in Marketing, Community Development, Public Relations, or Business Development are also highly regarded.
- Aged care or community services experience — Experience within Support at Home, Home Care Packages, community aged care, disability services, or a related field is desirable and will be well regarded.
- Community engagement or business development experience — A demonstrated ability to build community presence, manage stakeholder relationships, and convert enquiries into active clients is highly valued.
- Client intake and onboarding experience — Familiarity with client intake processes, service coordination, or case management within a care or community services environment is advantageous.
- Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills — The ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is strongly preferred,
as this role involves engaging with culturally and linguistically diverse communities where language accessibility is essential to building trust and delivering inclusive service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently, engage diverse audiences, and build genuine rapport with clients and partners.
- Organisational capability — Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and onboarding processes concurrently with accuracy and professionalism.
- Aged care funding knowledge — Familiarity with aged care funding models and regulatory requirements is advantageous and will support effective client conversations.
- Driver's licence — A current, valid driver's licence is essential, as the role requires regular travel across Brisbane and surrounding areas.
Why you should consider this opportunity?
We offer an attractive remuneration package and other benefits, such as:
- Competitive base salary plus incentives — A base salary complemented by bonus and incentive opportunities to reward strong community engagement and client acquisition outcomes.
- Flexible hybrid working — Enjoy up to three work-from-home days per week, providing genuine flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments.
- Visa sponsorship — Sponsorship is available for the right candidate, making this an accessible opportunity for eligible applicants.
- Long-term career opportunity — Ongoing mentorship and management support to help you grow your career within a purpose-driven and expanding organisation.
- Supportive and inclusive team culture — Join a fun, vibrant, and collaborative team environment where your contributions are celebrated and your wellbeing is valued.
