Senior Accounts Officer

Permanent - Full Time

Onsite role, five days per week

$90,000 plus Superannuation

Altitude is recruiting on behalf of a well established consumer electronics and technology business with a growing local and international footprint. This is a combined Accounts Payable and Receivable role sitting within a busy finance team that includes an offshore processing function. You will get real variety, covering both sides of the ledger, with genuine ownership over the more complex work rather than routine data entry.

You will be working closely with the CFO, AP and AR managers, sales, BDMs, customer service and the distribution centre, as well as suppliers and retail customers directly.

What You'll Be Doing

Accounts Payable

- Managing end to end accounts payable for overseas and local invoices once they've passed initial entry
- Reconciling purchase orders against supplier invoices and resolving discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams
- Working across trade finance, foreign exchange and landed cost considerations
- Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements across multiple entities
- Ensuring supplier payments are accurate and processed on time, including urgent local and international payments

Accounts Receivable

- Managing and monitoring accounts including credit limits, payments and claims across a national retail customer base
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, BDMs and sales managers
- Chasing payment resolution on outstanding debts, including from overseas customers
- Processing claims and rebates,



and resolving account queries end to end
- Reconciling debtors and maintaining accurate, up to date ledgers
- Uploading debtor financing weekly and reconciling at month end

General

- Using SAP and ProSpend for entry, approval and reconciliation
- Assisting with month end processing and ad hoc requirements from the CFO and finance managers
- Working alongside an offshore team who handle initial invoice entry, while owning the more complex end to end processing locally

Who We're Looking For

- Proven experience covering both accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Proven ability managing end to end AP, including overseas suppliers, trade finance and purchase order reconciliation
- Proven ability managing end to end AR, including credit control and reconciliation with national retail customers
- Comfortable managing high volume, high dollar value transactions across multiple entities
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and ProSpend or similar systems
- Confident communicator who builds relationships easily with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
- A proactive self starter who takes ownership without needing close direction
