Their workshop is equipped with contemporary tools and technologies to handle a wide range of automotive services, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join growing team at Adelaide Automen.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- High attention to detail and ability to read and understand instructions.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
- Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings etc. and test and reassembles components.
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering,
brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately.
- Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, and effort for a repair or maintenance job.
- Re-lines and adjusts brakes and perform wheel alignments.
- Dealing with suspensions, brakes, air conditioning, coolant and more on passenger cars.
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Identifying vehicle complications through the use of specific computer programs and scanning tools.
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
- Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to hand over to client.
- Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis and performing duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum Certificate III qualification is required.
- At least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in motor mechanics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Salary Package: $75,000 - $90,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
