Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developing character and academic excellence with Christ-centred education that nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth of every student.
Biology Teacher to join our Secondary School teaching team. This is a full-time position commencing 1 January 2027 and is a fixed-term cover for the full year .

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons using diverse teaching strategies that support individual learning needs.
- Differentiate learning through targeted remediation and extension opportunities to maximise student success.
- Track, monitor and report on student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and staff.
- Support students to develop solid organisational, study and learning skills for academic growth.
- Provide pastoral care as required and promote the spiritual, emotional, social and academic wellbeing of students.
- Contribute actively to College life, upholding Christian values, participating in events and fulfilling co-curricular and operational responsibilities.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families, College staff and key stakeholders.
- Communicate confidently and professionally, demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, staying organised and responsive in a fast-paced environment.
- Show initiative, solve problems proactively and make sound decisions while working collaboratively and following direction.
- Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration or willingness to apply for one.
Desirable:

- Familiarity with a variety of teaching and learning strategies to appropriately meet students’ needs and course objectives.
- Strategies used to communicate effectively with adults and students.
- Experience with a variety of suitable formative and summative assessment strategies with students.
