About us

CPC Engineering is a proudly West Australian-owned and operated Design, Construct and Project Management specialist with more than 50 years of industry experience.

Following our recent appointment as EPCM Contractor for a highly regarded Gold Processing Project, we are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join the Project Safety team. This role will be site based and working a 2:1 roster ex Perth to Darwin.

About the Role

Reporting to the HSE Manager and working closely with the Safety Superintendent on site, you will provide advice and support across the project, working closely with supervisors, managers, employees and contractors to ensure a safe, compliant and productive work environment.

This is a hands-on site-based role where you will play a key part in driving safety performance, managing risk and supporting our Zero Injury philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide HSE advice and support to project leadership, supervisors and work teams.
- Develop, review and implement project HSE documentation, including HSE Management Plans, JHAs, SWMS and risk assessments.
- Monitor compliance with client requirements, legislation, standards and CPC Engineering systems.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, task observations, JSA and Take 5 reviews.
- Identify hazards and unsafe practices and take appropriate action, including stopping work where required.
- Facilitate site inductions, toolbox meetings and safety training.




- Support injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and ensure Mitti is kept up to date.
- Support continual improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety culture across the project.

About You

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Proven experience within mining, construction or engineering in an HSE Advisor or similar role.
- Sound knowledge of WA mining and WorkSafe legislation, regulations, codes and standards.
- Demonstrated experience with risk management, safety management systems, audits and incident investigations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong report writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver safety inductions and in-house training.
- High level computer literacy and experience with safety management systems; Mitti experience will be highly regarded.
- Current Driver's Licence.
