Intermediate / Senior Accountant (Full or Part time)

We are a well-established boutique Chartered Accounting practice looking for an experienced Intermediate / Senior Accountant to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and business services to our clients.

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate / Senior Accountant who can confidently manage client work, prepare financial statements, income tax returns and Business Activity Statements, and assist with taxation, compliance and advisory matters while delivering a high level of service to our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS).




- Managing and developing direct relationships with clients, professional advisers and internal and external bookkeepers.
- Assisting with taxation, compliance and advisory matters.
- Working closely with senior team members and Directors.
- Contributing to the improvement of our internal systems and processes.

ABOUT YOU

- Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce.
- CA/CPA qualified or currently working towards qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australian public practice.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements.
- Experience preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A client-focused approach with strong relationship-building skills.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the team.
- A positive team player who enjoys working in a friendly and collaborative environment.
- Experience with Xero and MYOB AccountRight is preferred. Experience with Access / HandiSoft would be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Permanent Australian Working Rights.

REMUNERATION

An attractive salary package will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
