The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Mental Health - Child and Youth ACCESS Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willContribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staffParticipate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and serviceWork collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide care coordination between different sites or programsProvide comprehensive care to consumers with acute mental health issues including mental health risk assessment and risk management plansAbout youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalentRegistration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of AustraliaEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis BTuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be requiredDeclaration of serious discipline history must be disclosedCriminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)BenefitsFlexible work optionsCareer DevelopmentSalary PackagingModern FacilitiesDiverse Work CultureResearch Opportunities12.75% super17.5% leave loadingSalaryTemporary part time (up to 31 January 2027, with the possibility of extension, 64 hours per fortnight)Base salary ranging from $57.76 - $61.85 per hourAbout UsThe Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) Access Team is a multidisciplinary, multi-speciality team within the Gold Coast CYMHS.



This team provide ongoing care coordination and therapeutic care for children and young people (0-18 years) with severe and complex mental health problems presenting to a local Emergency Department or within the community.
