ISN Psychology is growing and we are seeking individuals who want to help shape the next generation of psychologists.
This role is suitable for a registered Psychologist with experience or interest in higher education teaching, practice supervision, curriculum development, scholarship, training or applied research.
We are looking to appoint at Lecturer Level B or Senior Lecturer Level C, depending on qualifications, experience and capability. Fractional appointments from 0.6 FTE to 1.0 FTE may be considered, making this role suitable for Psychologists who wish to combine academic work with clinical practice, supervision, research or professional engagement.

About the role
Depending on your appointment level, FTE and area of expertise, you may:
Teach postgraduate psychology subjects.
Coordinate units or course programs and support high-quality student learning.
Contribute to curriculum design, assessment quality, moderation and assurance of learning.
Supervise honours, masters, doctoral and/or higher degree research projects where appropriate.
Contribute to clinical education, placement/practicum-related learning, professional practice learning or supervision within approved scope.
Support student development, professional capability, ethical judgement and readiness for practice.
Develop or maintain a research, scholarship or professional practice agenda appropriate to the level of appointment.
Contribute to culturally responsive practice, First Nations engagement, equity, inclusion and professional psychology standards.
For appointment at Academic Level C, you may also contribute to academic leadership, curriculum innovation, program coordination, research collaborations, clinical education leadership and academic quality improvement.
What we are looking for
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Current registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Demonstrated capacity to teach, supervise, train or support students in psychology, or professional practice education.
Capacity to contribute to high-quality curriculum, assessment, feedback and student learning.
A research, scholarship,
supervision or professional practice profile appropriate to the level of appointment.
Commitment to ethical practice, professional psychology standards, cultural responsiveness, equity and inclusion.
Desirable but not essential:
PsyBA Board Approved Supervisor status.
Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist desirable but not essential.
Experience teaching or supervising in APAC-accredited psychology programs.
Experience coordinating units or contributing to curriculum development.
Experience supervising honours, masters, doctoral or higher degree research students.
Experience in online, blended, simulation-based or practice-based learning.
We are particularly interested in psychologists with expertise or developing interests in clinical, educational or practice psychology, psychological assessment, practice supervision, wellbeing, translational mental health or scholarship of teaching and learning.
Location and employment
Appointments may be based in Melbourne or Sydney. Remote within Australia may be considered, depending on teaching allocation, operational requirements and agreement to travel to Sydney and Melbourne from time to time as required.
Full-time preferred but fractional appointments from 0.6 FTE to 0.8 FTE may be considered.
Classification: Academic Level B or Academic Level C under the Higher Education Industry - Academic Staff -Award 2020, subject to contract and classification confirmation.
Appointment is subject to satisfactory working rights, Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check.
