As Practice Manager/ dental coordinator, you'll be responsible for a blend of reception duties and administrative/management tasks. You'll ensure systems run smoothly, support the clinical team, and help shape the ongoing development of the practice. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a close-knit environment, and takes pride in running an efficient, welcoming practice.
Key responsibilities
Oversee daily practice operations and workflow
Manage reception duties, patient bookings, and enquiries
Perform weekly administrative and management tasks
Support the practice owner with scheduling and organisational duties
Lead daily huddles and assist with team communication
Assist with financial reporting, KPIs, and basic bookkeeping (Xero)
Manage HR tasks including onboarding, recruitment, and staff support
Maintain stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships
Help with marketing, patient engagement, and local community presence
Maintain compliance with infection control standards and clinic policies
About you
Experience in dental or healthcare administration/management preferred
Friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with patients
Familiarity with Xero is desirable, but training can be provided
Highly organised, reliable, and able to work independently
Solid communicator with a hands-on, team-focused attitude
