Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to join our finance team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of the business and ensuring our day-to-day finance operations run smoothly.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on bookkeeping position that is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of financial administration and providing accurate, reliable financial information.

You will be responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping, payroll and compliance activities while supporting the wider finance function of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

Daily bank reconciliations

Accounts payable and supplier management

Accounts receivable support and debtor follow‑up

Balance sheet reconciliations

Maintaining accurate financial records

Processing journals and assisting with month‑end procedures

Payroll & Compliance

Weekly payroll processing

Managing employee leave records and entitlements

Superannuation processing and reconciliation

BAS and IAS preparation

Maintaining employee and payroll records

Supporting compliance with Fair Work and statutory obligations

Finance Support

Assisting with monthly management reporting

Supporting budgeting and cashflow forecasting activities

Assisting with financial audits and year‑end requirements

Preparing reports and reconciliations for management

Working closely with the Head of Finance on finance projects and process improvements

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience

Strong knowledge of BAS, GST and payroll processing

Experience using Xero or similar cloud accounting software





Excellent reconciliation skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Solid organisational and time management skills

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Highly Regarded

Experience within a trades, construction or project‑based business

Knowledge of payroll tax and workers compensation reporting

Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping or similar qualification

Experience working within a multi‑entity business structure
