Renmark Primary School Governing Council is seeking an experienced, capable and passionate leader to join our community as the Director of Renmark Out of School Hours Care.
Renmark Out of School Hours Care is a 65-place service providing high-quality Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care for children and families across the Renmark area. The service is utilised by families from schools across all educational sectors in the Renmark community, making it an important service for children and families throughout the local area. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging and have opportunities to play, connect, learn and have fun.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OSHC professional, or a strong leader with relevant education, care or community services experience, to take responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of a well-established school-based service.
About the role
As OSHC Director, you will provide strong and purposeful leadership across all aspects of the service. Working closely with the Renmark Primary School Principal and school leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the service operates effectively, meets its regulatory and compliance obligations, and provides high-quality experiences for children and families.
You will lead and support a dedicated team of educators, build positive relationships with children and families, oversee the development and delivery of engaging programs, and manage the administrative, financial and operational requirements of the service. The role requires a leader who can balance the practical demands of running a busy OSHC service with a strong focus on children's wellbeing, inclusion, relationships, quality practice and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Providing effective leadership and direction to the OSHC team.
Developing, implementing and evaluating high-quality programs that reflect children's interests, strengths, needs and the local community, guided by My Time, Our Place.
Supporting educators to develop their skills, confidence and professional practice.
Building positive and respectful relationships with children, families, staff and the wider school community.
Leading positive behaviour guidance and inclusive practices.
Managing the day-to-day operations and administration of the service.
Overseeing staffing, rosters, human resource processes and team development.
Managing budgets,
financial processes, enrolments and other business and administrative requirements.
Ensuring the service meets all relevant legislative, regulatory, health and safety and child protection requirements.
Monitoring and contributing to the National Quality Framework and Quality Improvement Plan.

An ACECQA-approved qualification relevant to working with school-aged children.

Hours of Work
This is a full time Level 8 position of 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As Renmark Out of School Hours Care operates across Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care,
working hours will vary according to the operational needs of the service and may fall between 6:30am and 6:00pm.
The position will include a combination of direct work with children and non-contact time for programming, administration, planning, staff management and other leadership responsibilities. Some split shifts may be required.
The successful applicant will be required to meet the relevant South Australian and Australian Government requirements for working in an education and care service, including appropriate qualifications and clearances.
These include, as applicable:
An ACECQA-approved qualification relevant to working with school-aged children.
Working with Children Check.
Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
RRHAN-EC training.
Child Safety Training.
Protective Practices training.
Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, awards, agreements, Work Health and Safety and child protection requirements.
