Korowa Anglican Girls' School

Melbourne

HR work that genuinely makes a difference to people and culture

No two days are the same and every day matters

A workplace unlike any other - Korowa is a community, not just a workplace

About the opportunity

Korowa Anglican Girls' School is looking for an enthusiastic and people-focused People & Culture Manager to join our P&C; team. In this hands‑on generalist role, you’ll partner closely with a designated group of leaders and teams across the school, serving as their dedicated People & Culture contact — building trusted relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored HR support that enables teams to perform at their best. You’ll provide practical HR advice, coach people leaders through complex matters and drive initiatives that make Korowa a great place to work. If you thrive on building genuine relationships and love finding smarter ways of doing things — we’d love to meet you.

What you’ll do

Partner with leaders across the school within a designated portfolio to provide timely, practical and well-considered HR advice across the full employee lifecycle

Coach and support people leaders through employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, workplace behaviours and difficult conversations

Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes

Support the administration and continuous improvement of our HR systems, policies and procedures

Coordinate culture and engagement survey processes and support leaders to translate insights into action

Drive efficiencies by identifying and implementing improvements to HR processes, documentation and systems

Contribute to People & Culture projects and strategic initiatives

Ensure compliance across working with children checks, VIT registrations, visas and child safe standards

What we’re looking for

Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR advisory or HR business partnering role

Strong employee relations experience — you know how to manage sensitive matters with discretion, fairness and sound judgement

A natural coach who builds trust with people leaders quickly and helps them navigate difficult conversations constructively

A genuine passion for process improvement and finding efficiencies — you don’t accept "that’s how we’ve always done it"

Hands on experience across the annual people cycle, including development plans,

culture surveys and people initiatives that drive engagement and a positive workplace culture

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident working autonomously and managing competing priorities

A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field

Experience with HRIS systems (experience with Synergetic is an advantage)

Be part of a warm, collaborative and values‑driven team

5 weeks annual leave, 13% superannuation and additional leave entitlements

Access to outstanding facilities, onsite parking and easy access to public transport

A beautiful school campus in Glen Iris with a supportive and inclusive community

A strong commitment to staff wellbeing and career development opportunities

The opportunity to do work that genuinely matters — supporting the people who shape the next generation of young women
