Role Description
n
This is a full-time, on-site Radiology Technician role based in Traralgon, VIC.
n
The Radiology Technician will perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and bone mineral density studies in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, operating imaging equipment, positioning patients to obtain high-quality images, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.

The role involves working collaboratively with radiologists, referring practitioners,
and other clinical team members to ensure timely, clear imaging results and a positive patient experience. The Radiology Technician will also support equipment quality control, adherence to radiation safety guidelines, and continuous improvement in clinical practice.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with the ability to perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately.
n
- Demonstrated knowledge of Radiation Safety principles and practices, including proper use of protective equipment and compliance with regulatory standards.
n
- Relevant professional registration or certification in radiologic practice (e.g., ARRT or equivalent radiography credential), and understanding of core Medicine concepts related to imaging.
n
- Recognized qualification in medical imaging or radiography (e.g., Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging/Radiography) and current eligibility for local professional registration.
n
- Experience in a clinical imaging workplace, with a focus on patient-centered care, clear communication, and teamwork with clinicians and administrative staff.
n
- Competence in operating modern imaging equipment, following imaging protocols, and maintaining accurate patient and workflow documentation.
n
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to infection control and workplace health and safety requirements, and commitment to ongoing career development.
