Mentoring to become an endorsed prescriber of medicines

VARIETY:

Biomechanics/MSK, general, paediatrics, high risk & surgical. Remove sutures or k-wires post foot surgery, drain a ganglion cyst, treat high risk patients at an indigenous dialysis clinic with GP & nursing support.

OUTBACK EXPERIENCE

An OUTBACK EXPERIENCE like no other – Visit Uluru, swim in waterholes, hike the larapinta trail, ride mountain bike trails, go camping, join a sporting club, go to a rodeo, stay on a cattle station, and attend the many festivals and events.

What's the role?
n
n
- Assess, diagnose and treat all conditions of the feet and lower limbs
n
- Perform minor surgical procedures for ingrown toenails and warts.
n
- Prescribe and dispense custom and prefabricated foot orthoses and ankle-foot orthoses.
n
- Continued commitment to learn and adapt to advancements in technology and treatments
n
- Working well in a team by sharing your knowledge and asking for assistance and advice when required
n
- Work in a multidisciplinary team under a shared care model with other health professionals including GP's, AHP's, RN's, Care Coordinators and Allied Health Qualified's to optimise client health outcomes
n
- Provide high level podiatry services, including specialist wound care and offloading for the high-risk foot in weekly visits to an indigenous dialysis clinic.
n

Is this the right role for you?

- Tertiary qualification in Podiatry with registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
n
- Driver's Licence (C Class)
n
- Excellent communicator who strives to provide a high standard of work when working both independently and as part of a team
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
