CRA Building Services

Adelaide

Lead and support a close-knit Administration team

Diverse role spanning business operations

Negotiable start and finish times

SA-owned family business with national operations

About CRA Building Services

CRA Building Services is a proudly South Australian-owned family business specialising in residential insurance repairs. A medium sized company, CRA operates across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and we've become one of Australia's leading insurance repair builders while maintaining the supportive, down-to-earth culture we're proud of.

We're looking for an experienced Administration Manager to manage our Administration team of two to three staff members, whilst helping to keep the many moving parts of our business running smoothly.

This is a varied role for someone who genuinely enjoys leading people, improving the way things are done and being the person others can rely on to keep things organised.

About the role

As our Administration Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Administration team while working closely with our management and People & Culture team.

You'll support, mentor and develop your team, manage workloads and coverage, monitor performance and ensure the team continues to deliver a consistently high standard of service.

You'll also have oversight of a broad range of business administration functions, including managing a busy phone system and call triaging, fleet coordination, office operations, IT coordination, assets, travel and accommodation, systems, company events and other operational requirements that help keep CRA running.

It's a hands-on leadership role with plenty of variety, autonomy and opportunity to improve how we do things.

About you

You'll be an experienced administration or office management professional who enjoys leading people and creating an organised, positive and productive working environment.

You'll be someone who:

Has demonstrated experience leading or supervising an Administration, Office or similar support team.

Is highly organised and confident managing workloads, priorities and competing deadlines.

Communicates confidently and can manage performance and constructive conversations when required.

Looks for better, smarter and more efficient ways of doing things.

Is confident with technology and learning new systems.

Takes ownership and brings a positive, practical and solutions-focused approach.

Experience within insurance, building or claims would be helpful, but isn't essential. Strong administration leadership and people management skills are far more important.

What you'll be doing

You'll have a varied role with responsibility for:

Leading, supporting and developing the Administration team, including performance, training and development.

Managing team workloads, coverage and priorities to ensure service standards and KPIs are achieved.

Overseeing our busy phone system, including call traffic management and accurate triaging.

Coordinating key business operations including fleet, assets, office requirements, travel and IT support.

Working with People & Culture to support recruitment, onboarding and staffing requirements.

Reviewing processes, systems and work quality, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.

Providing reporting and insights to management to support operational planning and decision-making.

Remaining hands-on and stepping in to support the Administration team with incoming work when required.

We believe our people do their best work when they're supported, trusted and given the opportunity to grow.

That's why we offer:

Flexibility with start and finish times/ work pattern.

Attractive salary package based on experience.

Employee Assistance Program for you and your immediate family.

A supportive, approachable leadership team with a strong culture of working collaboratively.

The opportunity to influence processes and make improvements across the business.

Long-term career opportunities within a growing national organisation.

Ready to apply?

We're looking for someone who can bring structure when things are busy, support their people and help us continue improving as CRA grows.

If you're an experienced Administration Manager or Team Leader who's ready to take ownership of a busy, diverse role and guide a great team, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply through SEEK with your resume and a short cover letter. Applications close Monday 21 September and will be assessed as they're received, so we encourage you to apply early.
