You will manage the planning and delivery of a diverse rangeof Built Form projects andcontracts like City building refurbishments, communityfacilitates and playground developments, reserve assetinstallations including associated lighting works. Leading projectsfrom procurement through to completion, you will ensure projectsare planned and delivered on time, within budget and to ahigh standard in line with City policies, industry best practiceand relevant legislation.
Working as part of a dynamic team you will provide specialisedproject management advice and support across the organisation. Keyresponsibilities include managing consultants and contractors,reviewing technical documentation, evaluating tenders andquotations,
recommending to award contracts preparing projectdocumentation and overseeing project budgets and reportingincluding reviewing of specialised consultant and architectspecifications, drawings, contract documentation and communicateamendments.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experiencedelivering construction projects, strong stakeholder engagement andcommunication skills, and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesin a complex environment. A qualification in projectmanagement, construction, engineering or a relevant trade isessential. Previous local government experience andknowledge of relevant legislation will be highly regarded.
To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication :
- Demonstrated experience in managing and administeringconstruction projects and contracts
- Diverse construction or trade experience and technicalknowledge
- Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, costcontrol and financial reporting requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors andtradespersons
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plansand drawings
- Ability to produce high-quality project scopes,specifications, estimates, budgets and contractdocumentation
- Solid written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Degree, diploma or trade qualification in projectmanagement, construction,
engineering or related field
We are offering a remuneration package from $102,707 to$110,461 per annum, depending on skills and experienceand:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
