PRINCIPAL / SENIOR URBAN DESIGNER | SYDNEY

Great urban design is about more than the spaces between buildings.

n

It's about understanding how places work. How people move through them. How buildings, landscape, infrastructure and public realm come together. And how a strong idea survives the journey from masterplan to delivery.

Cavfield is partnering with a leading Sydney architecture and design practice to find a senior Urban Designer to join its established multidisciplinary studio.

n

And this one has some genuine scope.

n

We're looking for someone who can bring design thinking and delivery together – leading significant urban design and masterplanning projects, building trusted client relationships and helping guide and develop a talented team.

n

You might currently be a Senior Urban Designer, Senior Associate, Associate or Associate Director. You may already be operating at Principal level, or you may be ready for the opportunity to step into it.

n

What matters more than your title is what you can bring.

n

You'll have experience across complex urban environments and ideally a mix of residential and mixed-use, education, community,



civic and infrastructure-related projects.

n

You'll be comfortable:

n

- Leading urban design and masterplanning projects from early thinking through to delivery
n
- Working across built form, movement, public realm, landscape and planning
n
- Navigating complex client, authority and stakeholder environments
n
- Leading multidisciplinary teams and bringing different design disciplines together
n
- Building solid, long-term client relationships
n
- Mentoring and developing other designers
n
- Balancing ambitious design with the commercial realities of delivering great work
n
