The opportunity

Take ownership of inventory accuracy, availability and material flow in a small, high-mix advanced-manufacturing business. You’ll lead stores operations, strengthen planning and controls, and balance production needs with working capital and supply risk.

What you’ll do

Own inventory policies, stocking parameters, critical-item controls and material-availability planning.

Maintain accurate master data, locations, transactions, traceability and stock valuation within the ERP/MRP system.

Lead receiving, storage, kitting, production replenishment, subcontract movements, returns and dispatch.

Manage cycle counts, stocktakes and variance investigations through to root-cause closure.

Lead and cross-train stores personnel, setting clear priorities and operating standards.

Report on shortages, excess, obsolete and shelf-life stock,



working capital and service performance.

Improve storage, barcode/scanning, standard work, visual controls and audit readiness.

What you’ll bring

Substantial inventory, stores, supply-chain or materials-management experience in manufacturing.

Solid ERP/MRP capability and knowledge of bills of material, work orders and inventory transactions.

Demonstrated ownership of cycle counting, stocktakes, variance analysis and reporting.

Ability to turn data into practical decisions on availability, risk and working capital.

Experience supervising people and coordinating cross-functional priorities.

Strong attention to detail, communication and continuous-improvement skills.

Experience in electronics, defence, aerospace, medical devices, photonics or another regulated sector; knowledge of ESD, moisture-sensitive devices, serial, lot, revision and shelf-life controls; and a qualification or certification in supply chain, logistics, operations, quality or continuous improvement.

Applicants must have full, permanent work rights in Australia. Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is applicable to this role. Applicants must be able to obtain National Police and other related security clearances that apply to the role.
