Help someone build the confidence, skills and independence to take their next step into employment.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate and motivated people to join our team in McLaren Vale and support individuals who may face barriers to employment.

As an Employment Mentor , you’ll work alongside participants to identify their strengths, build practical workplace skills and grow their confidence. Through engaging one-to-one and group-based support, you’ll help people become more connected to their community and move towards long-term employment and greater independence.

If you’re someone who enjoys seeing others succeed, can think creatively and loves helping people realise what they’re capable of, this could be a highly rewarding role for you.

About Us

McLaren Veal Enterprises is a registered NDIS service provider and not-for-profit organisation providing tailored services and support for people living with disability.

We’re deeply connected to our local communities and driven by a vision of inclusion, opportunity and sustainability . At the heart of what we do is a easy goal: creating genuine opportunities for people to build skills, increase independence and work towards the future they want.

About the Role

As an Employment Mentor, no two days will look exactly the same.

You’ll deliver person-centred, evidence-based employment supports aligned with each participant’s individual goals, NDIS plan and funding.

You’ll support participants to develop practical skills that can make a real difference in their pathway to employment, including:

Customer service and workplace communication

Time management and organisation

Following workplace instructions and routines

Building confidence and independence

Understanding workplace expectations

Developing the skills needed to participate successfully in employment and the community

This is more than simply teaching skills. You’ll build a strong rapport with each participant, understand their individual strengths and aspirations, and support them to identify and overcome barriers to achieving their goals.

We’re looking for someone who can take initiative, work confidently and autonomously, recognise learning opportunities and adapt their approach to the individual in front of them.

Most importantly, you’ll see the difference your support can make as participants grow in confidence, develop new skills and take positive steps towards employment and greater independence.

If you’re looking for a role with purpose, variety and the opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone’s future, we’d love to hear from you.
