We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Noranda Primary School (PS) is a vibrant learning environment for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 in the suburb of Noranda. With a student population of over 360 students, we cater for students with a diverse range of cultural and language backgrounds.

The Role
We are seeking dynamic, organised and people-focused School Officers to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy workplace, takes pride in their work and brings a strong sense of professionalism to every interaction.
The School Officer plays a vital role in supporting the financial and administrative operations of Noranda PS. They are responsible for managing financial processes such as account and GST coding, invoice processing, and reconciliation of financial records. The role may also includes supporting month-end procedures, including banking and maintaining data accuracy, as well as assisting with financial planning and budgeting by collating and reporting key data.
In addition to financial duties, the School Officer oversees asset and facilities management,
which involves coordinating the out-of-hours use of school facilities, organising maintenance and repairs, and maintaining asset registers and security systems. Furthermore, the School Officer will support the induction and coordination of administrative staff, including relief staff, and contributes to a positive and efficient school environment.

Eligibility
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
