About the Role
As the ANUM, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. You’ll lead by example, mentor junior staff, and ensure efficient patient flow while fostering a positive, safe, and collaborative workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager in clinical and operational leadership
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in line with best practices
- Coordinate staffing and patient flow to ensure timely and effective service delivery
- Promote continuous improvement and contribute to staff development and education
- Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
About You
You're an experienced, compassionate, and motivated nurse leader with a passion for urgent care and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You thrive in fast-moving environments,
inspire confidence in your team, and are always focused on delivering exceptional care.
You will have:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent, or working towards.
- Advanced Life Support/Paediatric Advanced Life Support competent.
- Clinical experience in the relevant specialty including Triage experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A desire to make a difference in a regional healthcare setting
- Commitment to professional growth and development in leadership.
