Vadals is a family-owned Australian company, situated at Richlands, which supplies goods and packaging to the food industry.

We are seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join our growing team in Richlands.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships, and supporting the smooth operation of our purchasing function. This is a varied and quick-paced position offering the opportunity to develop your procurement and supply chain skills within a supportive team environment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing purchase orders across a large range of products and suppliers
- Liaising with local and overseas suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock
- Monitoring and tracking orders, providing delivery updates to internal stakeholders
- Working closely with Sales, Administration and Warehouse teams to coordinate stock requirements and deliveries
- Reviewing product specifications and supplier information
- Resolving pricing discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders
- Sourcing new suppliers and analysing costs
- Processing supplier invoices for payment




- Maintaining accurate inventory and purchasing data within the ERP system
- Assisting with forecasting and inventory planning

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement and Supplier Negotiations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritises competing deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- A positive, resilient and solutions-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Experience using ERP systems will be highly regarded
