As Program Director-Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs, you’ll lead a large, complex and high-impact portfolio at a time of significant opportunity,innovationand sector reform.You’ll drive strategic direction, operational performance and service excellence while empowering leaders and teams to deliver strategic outcomes.

Your role, your impact:

Lead strategic and operational direction across a large, complex portfolio of Mental Health and AOD services, ensuring alignment with Each's vision and priorities

Manage financial sustainability and performance with explicit performance measures, reporting and outcomes that demonstrate impact

Lead and inspire leaders and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability, wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement

Build and strengthen integrated service models that improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities

Drive service innovation and transformation by identifying opportunities to enhance, expand and evolve programs in response to community need and sector reform





Develop strong relationships with government, funders and sector partners to strengthen collaboration, influence reform and enhance service outcomes

About you
We’re seeking a senior leader who can move confidently between strategy, people leadership and practical delivery. You’ll know how to set direction, build accountability and support leaders and teams to turn plans into meaningful action.

Working closely with the operations leadership team,you’ll bring an organisational lens, contribute to broader service and growth priorities, and demonstrate the judgement, influence and delivery focus needed to lead at scale.

You bring:

Significant senior leadership experience within Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, community health or related human services sectors in large and complex environments.

A track record of developing high-performing leaders and multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement

Tertiary qualification/s in a relevant discipline (health, social services, management or equivalent)

A strong understanding of the policy, funding and reform environment shaping Mental Health and AOD services

Exceptional stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills, with experience working collaboratively with government departments, commissioning bodies, Primary Health Networks, funders and sector partners

Demonstrated success leading organisational growth, service transformation and change initiatives, with the ability to navigate complexity,



influence diverse stakeholders and translate strategy into measurable outcomes

Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability and impact
