About Us:
St Andrew's Anglican College is a leading independent Prep to Year 12 school on the Sunshine Coast, catering for more than 1,450 students. We're looking for an experienced technology leader to join our Senior Leadership Team and shape the strategic direction of our College's technology landscape at an exciting time of growth and digital transformation.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Business Services, the Head of ICT leads the ICT department — incorporating Management Information Systems, ICT Infrastructure & Operations, and Service Central — to ensure technology initiatives are seamlessly aligned with the College's educational and operational needs. You'll act as a key bridge between technology and pedagogy, partnering with stakeholders across the College to deliver a secure, efficient and innovative digital environment for staff and students.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement the College's strategic approach to ICT development, delivery and management, including keeping the College ahead of emerging technology trends, including AI.
- Lead core infrastructure projects and the ICT Service Desk, underpinned by clear SLAs and a strong service culture.
- Own cybersecurity, and ICT risk and compliance for the College, acting as first responder to data breaches and cyber events.
- Lead and mentor the ICT team, including direct line management of the ICT Infrastructure & Operations Manager.
- Manage ICT capital and operational budgets, and lead vendor and systems integrator relationships.
- Present ICT strategy, budget and progress updates to the Principal, Executive Leadership Team and College Council and/or sub-committees, as required.
What You’ll Bring:
- Demonstrated experience leading ICT within an educational context, including strategy, budgeting and infrastructure management.
- Strong grounding in Enterprise Architecture, ICT road mapping, and current server/cloud technologies.
- A track record of delivering complex ICT projects on time and on budget in periods of change.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity standards and institutional risk management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical audiences.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or ITIL (or equivalent) certification
