Service Leader | Lifeline Crisis Support | Maroochydore
Employment Term: Full-time, Maximum Term Contract (6 months), with the opportunity to apply for the ongoing permanent position following the conclusion of the contract period.
Location: Maroochydore
Remuneration: $58.37 per hour + Super + NFP Salary Packaging

Your part in our UnitingCare team
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Service Leader to join our Lifeline Crisis Support team on the Sunshine Coast.
This rewarding leadership role is responsible for managing the operational and administrative functions of the service while providing professional leadership and support to Crisis Support employees and volunteers. Working collaboratively with other Service Leaders and key stakeholders, you'll drive service excellence, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement to ensure the best possible experience for help seekers accessing Lifeline services.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage all aspects of service delivery to ensure operational goals and performance outcomes are achieved.
- Provide leadership, supervision,
coaching and performance management to Crisis Support employees and volunteers.
- Foster a values-driven culture that attracts, engages and retains a skilled and committed workforce.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training and rostering activities to ensure service needs are met.
- Evaluate recruitment and workforce engagement initiatives, using data and insights to inform planning and continuous improvement.
- Work within quality, compliance and risk management frameworks to support protected, effective and best-practice service delivery.
- Monitor service budgets, reporting requirements and key performance indicators, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community, government and sector stakeholders to enhance service awareness and outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, stakeholder engagement and client satisfaction.
- Support the development of resources and initiatives that strengthen Lifeline's impact within the community.
What makes a difference for us?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or a related discipline.
- Lesser formal qualifications with considerable skills, knowledge and extensive relevant experience to an equivalent standard.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams to achieve service performance outcomes, including supervision, coaching and staff development.
- Experience managing operational and administrative functions within a community services, health or human services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, reporting requirements and business administration processes.
- Strong understanding of quality, risk management and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective systems, processes and procedures to support service delivery.
- Current QLD Driver's License.
- Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
- Willingness to undergo a Personal History Check as part of the pre-employment screening process.
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is desirable
