Lead the future of rehabilitation in New Zealand

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, we are seeking an outstanding General Manager Rehabilitation to lead one of the organisation's most significant and strategically important portfolios.

The Opportunity

This newly created executive leadership role provides end-to-end accountability for Habit Health's national Rehabilitation business, encompassing a large multidisciplinary workforce, extensive clinic network and substantial revenue base.

As the single point of accountability for the Rehabilitation portfolio, you will lead its strategic direction, operational performance and future evolution. Working closely with executive colleagues, clinicians, customers and funders, you will drive service excellence, commercial performance, innovation and sustainable growth.

This is a highly visible leadership position with the chance to influence both the future of rehabilitation services and the broader direction of a market-leading healthcare organisation.

About You

You are a commercially astute leader with a passion for improving health outcomes and building high-performing teams.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:





Senior leadership experience within healthcare, rehabilitation, allied health or another complex service environment.

A strong track record of delivering growth, operational excellence and commercial performance.

Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams through periods of transformation and change.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build credibility with clinicians, customers, funders and senior leaders.

Demonstrated success driving service improvement, performance optimisation and organisational capability.

The resilience, judgement and leadership presence to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.

Experience within rehabilitation, ACC-funded services, occupational health or allied health sectors will be highly regarded. A background as a physiotherapist or allied health professional would be advantageous but is not essential.
