About the Role
We’re looking for software or firmware engineers who love creatingthings, can produce good code quickly, and have a curiosity for solvingproblems. Our technology stack involves different technologies and is oftenchanging, so we’re looking for talented engineers who are willing tolearn. You'll partner with cross functionalteams across software, hardware, product, and design to build scalable,high-performance solutions across the full product lifecycle – from conceptthrough to release and optimisation. This is a Sydney-based role that will requireyou to work in office when required but accommodates a hybrid workingarrangement.
What You’ll Do
- Create embedded software inside a range of appliances, delivering robust and scalable applications that integrate seamlessly with hardware, cloud services and mobile apps.
- Design and develop re-useable software using JS/TS, C/C++ and Python across mobile, embedded and high-end embedded systems environments.
- Collaboratively work with a cross functional team to develop a unique user experience, partnering closely with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, firmware developers,
product managers and designers.
- Optimise and improve system architectures in the software stack and hardware interfaces to ensure performance, reliability and scalability across devices.
We’re Interested in Hearing from People WhoHave
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering or similar, with 7+ years' experience.
- Experience with C and C++ programming in embedded targets as well as PC for unit testing.
- Some hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting hardware.
- Experience working with Git version control, source code management, unit testing, code review and issue-tracking systems.
- Some hands-on experience in Python for high-end embedded systems like Raspberry Pi and PC.
- Some experience with AWS/Amazon or other IoT platforms.
- Great communication skills, a passion for creating amazing products, and a team-player mindset.
- Familiarity in mobile app development using JS/TS and React Native for Android.
- Familiarity with design systems and their realisation for the React/React Native Android framework.
And Maybe
- Some Embedded Linux development experience (user space and system level).
- Some understanding of computer control systems, digital signal processing, filters etc.
- Experience with advanced build systems such as CMake or SCONS.
