Senior Applications Project Manager :: Long Term Day Rate Contract

We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Project Manager for an initial six-month contract with a well-established organisation undergoing significant business and technology change.

In this exciting role you will take ownership of several concurrent application projects that must be delivered over the coming months. These initiatives include application migrations, the implementation of new enterprise platforms and the replacement of an significant business system.

This is a hands-on delivery role for a Senior Project Manager who can work confidently across business stakeholders, application teams, vendors and delivery partners.

What you will be doing

You will manage the business and technology coordination required to deliver several focused application initiatives.

- Establishing clear scope, plans, responsibilities and delivery milestones
- Coordinating business stakeholders, application teams and external vendors
- Clarifying business requirements and challenging assumptions where needed
- Identifying application, integration, data and operational dependencies
- Managing risks, issues, decisions and competing priorities
- Coordinating testing, defect resolution and business acceptance




- Providing clear reporting and escalating issues before they affect delivery

What you will bring

- 7-10+ years' experience as an Applications Project Manager delivering application implementations, migrations or replacements
- Exposure tofinance systems, CMS/web platforms/websites and SAP implementations
- Strong understanding of the application delivery lifecycle
- Experience managing integrations and dependencies between business systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills
- Strong planning, governance, risk, issue and dependency management capability
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and changing priorities
