About the Roles/s

We are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our client's fabrication team. This hands-on role will support qualified tradespeople with the fabrication, assembly and repair of mining equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Assist Boilermakers and Fabricators with workshop tasks.
n
- Prepare materials and components for fabrication and assembly.
n
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
n
- Assist with grinding, cutting, drilling and general metal preparation.
n
- Move materials and equipment around the workshop.
n
- Complete basic assembly and component-cleaning tasks.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work area.
n
- Follow all safety procedures, work instructions and quality standards.
n
- Perform general workshop and housekeeping duties as required.
n

Required Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Previous experience as a Trades Assistant in a fabrication,
engineering or heavy industrial workshop.
n
- Experience using hand and power tools, including grinders and drills.
n
- Understanding of workshop safety procedures and safe work practices.
n
- Construction White Card.
n
- Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport.
n
- Forklift licence is highly regarded.
n
- Overhead crane, dogging or rigging tickets are advantageous.
n
- Ability to complete physically demanding and manual tasks.
n
- Solid reliability, attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen.
