Light Years Cafe is a busy and well-established café located in Hawthorn East, Australia, renowned for its quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch offerings. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Full‑Time Chef to join our team, lead our kitchen operations, and assist in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering 38 hours per week with a competitive salary of $75,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation, determined based on your individual skills and experience.

Responsibilities

- Planning, preparing, and cooking menu items to the highest standard
- Assisting in leading and supporting the kitchen team during busy service hours
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene,



and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Collaborating with management on kitchen operations and food preparation
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all breakfast, brunch, and lunch services
