Overview

AWS is looking for exceptional Construction Security Assurance Officers to assist with the management and delivery of project security requirements on upcoming high-security projects. These are site-based roles, responsible for supporting physical security operations in line with client security requirements and project security plans. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly and deliver robust outcomes while supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

The role

Working as part of the AWS Infrastructure Operations – Physical Security team,



you will assist with the management and delivery of project security requirements throughout the construction phase of secure facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting physical security operations on-site
- Assisting with security assurance inspections and compliance activities
- Monitoring and responding to security incidents and issues
- Liaising with project stakeholders and client representatives
- Supporting reporting, documentation and risk mitigation activities
- Maintaining compliance with project security requirements and security plans

Skills and experience

- Experience in physical security or security management
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Physical Security Operations role
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience in high-security environments highly regarded
- Construction or infrastructure project experience desirable
- Understanding of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) desirable

Requirements

- Australian Citizenship required
- Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Clearance
- Ability to successfully complete an Organisational Suitability Assessment
- Ability to work in a site-based construction environment
- Ability to maintain relevant security clearances and accreditations as required for the project
